Alrighty, here is a way to level rune crafting pretty fast. First off when you download the EE client you get the ability to spawn objects. So here is what you do.
Go to the servers home and click on extras in the client tool bar. Then click on object then type in 2109. This spawns some rocks u mine for rune essence. Then after you have a full invotory of essence spawn 2479. Then use the altar and boom you leveled up in rune crafting. Just repeat the steps to level more.
